Dear [Insert company name here] Employee:

Another election season is upon us for Johnson County, and I encourage you to take time to learn about your local candidates and vote on or before the primary election on August 2nd.

In August 2019, the last primary election for local government, only 8.3% of registered Johnson County voters cast a vote. While voter participation has been up recently, that still means less than 10% of the registered voters in Johnson County decided which candidates could win elections for mayor, for city council, and for our school boards, among other offices. We can do better!

Exercising your civic right to vote is critically important in determining the best course for the cities and state where we live, work, and play. Won’t you join me in working to improve voter turnout this year?

To support and encourage your participation in the voting process, we provide each employee [Insert company policy on absence from work or other perks for voting here].

For information about voter registration, where to vote, how to vote in advance or by mail and important deadlines and general voting questions, please visit the Johnson County Election Office by clicking here. For voter information and profiles on the candidates in many races visit the website and you can see candidate forums on the VoteJoCo YouTube channel. I sincerely hope that you will take the time to participate in our democracy. We need you.
